I told you the Lions were the worst team in the NFL Zwick.

Well, the Lions haven't played the Raiders yet.

Steven Jackson is an absolutely incredible talent. Bulger is starting to act like a leader. A little bit, anyway.

People talk about parity in the NFL because of the salary cap, but what I see is a handful of very good teams, a lot of average teams and bad teams that have no shot at winning the Super Bowl. The salary cap prevents teams from cultivating talent, meaning that teams will be good for a few years followed by several years of decline. The Super Bowl is won by the team that drafts best and manages the cap best. I prefer the luxury tax model that baseball has, but one that also reduces shares of teams that are well below the league average. That way, teams can cultivate talent and spend money on the valuable veterans.

I don't like any system that the main four sports in the states has. I truly think all four major sports in the US would be better: NFL, MLB, NBA, and MLS if they had a relegation system.

I think relegation would be a great idea, too

Not true. The colts, pats, Giants. eagles etc have been winners for many years. The trick is to get a good and durable QB and have a front office that can draft well.

It's funny. Brett Farve throws five interceptions in a game and they talk about how he was just trying to win, and that's what happens when HAHA

Jake Cutler throws five and he is a horrible QB

Cant believe Belichick made that 4th down call! That was bizarre. I just dont see how you cant punt there.

He had made that play in the game every time he called it. Punting it gave the Colts a chance to win the game. If they had gotten the 1st down, the game would have been over. I can't say it was a bad move, just a gamble that didn't work

No. By not punting there, AT THE 30 no less, you're telling your defense I have no faith you can stop these guys. You have to punt and play the percentages. Manning had thrown 2 picks already he wasn;t having his best game. Bad call IMO.

In the second half, the Pats defense COULDN'T stop the Colts.

i still say you have to punt there. Play the percentages and let the clock run there was only 2:08 left?
Bad call by a usually great coach.

It is well within Mannings (and the Colts) capabilities to score in 2:08.

They even called their 2nd timeout of the drive to set up that play. If they had just let the clock run and punted the Colts would have gotten the ball back on like their own 30 with about a minute left to play needing a TD to win.

Sure it's possible but you gotta play the percentages. Scoring from the opponents 30 is way easier than scoring from your own 30 is my point.

Wow, Detroit wins on an untimed play. Pass interference on a hail mary. I would cut that guy right then.

rothlisberger has another concussion. That's 4 now. The commissioner is talking about more rule changes. is he just gonna ban hitting the QB? What else is left?

How about trying some new helmets with more padding? Why not use technology to solve the problem?
Didn't Don Beebe have a special helmet to protect against concussions?
