I agree with the entire post except the last part. I don't think we should keep guns 'because' the bad guy is likely to possess one, but rather, it's the current maximum defense mechanism I can & want to operate. If the bad guy walks in with an uzi, & I have a 9mm, I'm in a tricky spot, but at least I've got something. if the robber walks in unarmed and i've got a 9mm pointed at him, I'm more likely to deter him without a shot being fired. If I'm unarmed how do I defend my family?
